How a game gets made.
A Kezmara game goes from a sketch to a released version through the same steps every time, and each step leaves something that can be checked.
Six steps
Mechanic
A rule a player understands within one round. It is sketched and tried in a throwaway prototype before any art.
Deterministic core
The round is written as a pure function of its seeds and the game version: same inputs, same round, on the server and in the browser.
Maths by simulation
The core is run over a very large number of seeded rounds, tuned to its target RTP, and its real max win and hit frequency are measured.
Passport
The numbers, how they were measured and the version they belong to are written down before anything is released.
Art and sound
The look is built on top of the finished round, so the animation always shows the result the server settled, never one picked afterwards.
Wallet tests and release
The game is tested against a seamless wallet, timeouts and retries included, and released as a version. A change to the maths is a new version.
What stays the same in every game
- The server result settles the bet, and the browser shows exactly that result.
- Every round can be replayed from its seeds.
- The numbers are published per version, together with how they were obtained.
- Mobile first: short rounds, readable on a phone in a lobby iframe.
A small studio
We are a small team, so the people who design a game’s maths also write its integration, and operators talk to them directly.
